Professional Profile

Grace is a lecturer in the School of Business and Leadership and teaches the Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Management programme. She is an experienced educator, certified online education practitioner, lecturer, researcher, author, trainer, and professional in leadership and management. She has wide knowledge and practice expertise spanning for a period of fifteen years, eleven of which have been in the higher education sector.

Since 2015, she has been heading the Virtual Campus which is responsible for supporting off-campus students to undertake virtual studies as well as oversee the improved uptake of blended learning for on-campus students. Faculty and administration staff support to strengthen online education is a key function of what she does. She works closely with different departments, serves in the University Senate and various committees where she ably represents the directorate.

Her research interests are in online education matters and leadership. Additionally, she is an editor with IGI Global, a leading academic publisher in various areas. Grace is an astute trainer in leadership, management and online education.

As an online education expert, she has been involved in leading teams in successfully transitioning to virtual teaching and learning through adoption of relevant educational technologies while bridging the gaps that are presented by the digital divide. In the assertive role that emerging and disruptive technologies are taking, her motivation is driven by the need to continually integrate education with technology. As the futurist Alvin Toffler wrote: "The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.
